We were in the process of finding her a new home, since we were moving - and the "new owner" is the one that lost her ... needless to say we didn't give her back to that "new" owner - we found a "new new" owner and she is happy now!

Letting go of grown children is HARD! You work so hard to raise them right - and all you can do is hope that most of what you tried to teach them sticks - but its hard!!! That little trip he took was a good warm up for both of you!Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15948644545927550560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426523797653322842.post-64686937071478835722009-11-25T00:54:06.328-05:002009-11-25T00:54:06.328-05:00how kind of you to actually take the time to notic...how kind of you to actually take the time to notice about the dogs and make the calls to reunite!

and i am so not looking forward to the teen years. i liked it better when i had mine brainwashed that college was just an extension of school and mandatory. i'm already hearing the "well when i'm 18, i'm going to..."Heatherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09342009516840251489noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426523797653322842.post-15163788310548323212009-11-25T00:18:43.506-05:002009-11-25T00:18:43.506-05:00Erin, off to check the tag right now and thanks to...Erin, off to check the tag right now and thanks to you and FF, too! Also, black rod iron? Lol...sounds like a vibrator.

Jae, Jake is...unique. I appreciate that but I suspect a lot of parents may not. And Miss Arse is fone tonight. She's a tough old bird. ;-)

MLWB, the older they get, the more our brains accept what is coming, I think. Plus, you don't have t let go all at once and that really helps a lot.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13502047590236410856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426523797653322842.post-59753569007729233912009-11-24T20:44:42.176-05:002009-11-24T20:44:42.176-05:00What a great story reuniting the dog with its owne...What a great story reuniting the dog with its owner. Hopefully she'll be feeling even better by Thanksgiving.

It's hard to let them go - especially when you've been close, as you and Jake are. But I think you've got a really healthy attitude about it and he sounds like a really neat young man.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426523797653322842.post-29788404360856017362009-11-24T15:26:38.755-05:002009-11-24T15:26:38.755-05:00I tagged you.

Ha..I thought I was the only craiglist junkie!! I always looked through the pets trying to reunite. And some of the other ads just make me laugh. There are a lot of stupid people out there!!! My fav was an ad for a "Black Rod Iron Table." :)Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00596443385276791858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6426523797653322842.post-60939527772314087142009-11-24T09:27:05.798-05:002009-11-24T09:27:05.798-05:00Your post was wonderful and the CNN story moved me...Your post was wonderful and the CNN story moved me.
