How ironic.

First off, let me say I'm a craigslist addict. That out of the way, about 6 months ago a woman was giving away a lot of WIC products in the "free" section. She was going on like she was some type of heroine, talking about how she gets all this free food, milk and juice she and her kids will never use and how good it makes her feel to help others with it. Well, my blood boiled. She'd listed her phone number and a Google search of *that gave me both her full name and address. I reported her ass. Yes, I did. And they enforced the rules.

Fast forward to now (well, yesterday)...I got rid of the 19" TV in my bedroom a few weeks ago and want a smaller, 13" one. My mom keeps wanting to get me a wall-mounted flatscreen one for my birthday, which I think is a foolish waste of money and have told her so. I'm fine with an old tube TV, as long as it is small. So, today on craigslist, I see a 13" TV in great condition listed for $10. I email immediately, saying I want it if it is still available. The person responds back, telling me it is mine and giving me their name and address so I can pick it up.

Guess who it is.

I just can't believe the audacity of some people.

Every time I think that people can't shock me, I'm wrong. I'm not as jaded as I think I am, I guess.

Color me naive.

Also, you're awesome for reporting her. You are the wind beneath my wings, even.

Oh, man! I thought you were saying "come on" to me, as in you didn't believe what I was saying. I was sitting here thinking "I can show her emails!" Lol...I'm obviously paranoid.

People do this on craigslist every so often, she wasn't the first or last, and the audacity still shocks me.

Oh, no. As soon as I saw what you'd written, I knew it was true. It's just...well, you know.

What I want to know is:

Did you get a gallon of milk to go along with that TV?

(Just kidding. Just kidding.)

Okay, update. I just now, because I'm a dumbass, realized I got taken. The TV that was advertised to be in "great working condition, cable compatible" and "doesn't have a remote so you will need a universal remote"? I went and their place was so damn nasty, plus I feel weird going to strangers' home anyway, that I grabbed the TV and handed over my $10 and took off. I've just now found out it gets 1 channel, NBC, and is not capable of working with a remote. Lovely.

And I deleted that one comment because of a typo that made a difference.

I think its pretty terrible of you to go around finding people to punish in this life.. basically because your so unhappy yourself.

In the grand scheme of life, who do you live for? yourself? i really really really feel sorry for your child whom you have imposed your unhealthy ideals onto to. lets pray.. in an evangelical christian sort of way.. you know, to GOD, that he wakes up and realizes how distorted his moms view is and accepts the Lord as his Savior so that he can go to Heaven. Cause if you have no relationship with Jesus, you are destined for.. the other place.

Ok that's funny!! Reminds me of when my car was broken into at a Restaurant. The gal was caught red handed and arrested, she spent 3 months in jail for it. I received notice that she had "served her time" and was fine w/ it. She didn't get away with anything, she was busted by some friends in my car lol.

Fast forward a month or so, I am at work and get asked to bring some papers into the Loss Prevention office, and guess who is in handcuffs telling the LP Officer "I have never been in trouble before" with the tears rolling down her face.

You had better believe I dropped the papers, walked out to the nearest phone and called that LP Officer to tell him what happened. Within minutes the local police were on site and she was back in jail.
